Sophisticated Simplicity

Mark has over 20 years design experience. He has worked on projects in 14 countries and has been based on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia since 2005. His background in architecture, design and construction is used on every project.

 

Mark has been very fortunate to be involved in the designing of a wide range of exciting projects. The abilities he acquired through this experience focus on creating stimulating environments by orchestrating sight, sound, experience, and architecture. Mark moved to Australia in June 1995 to become the Show Producer/ Concept Designer for Sega World, Sydney, a $40 million dollar indoor virtual reality entertainment centre. In addition to starting his own architectural practice, Mark was Art Director for the Fox Studios Theme Park also in Sydney. Prior to moving to Australia, Mark was Director of Design for Iwerks Entertainment, Los Angeles, California. He was deeply involved in the design and realization of many entertainment projects in premier locations around the world. Being tasked with developing the ultimate technology based urban entertainment centers enabled him to focus on the issues involved in designing this new form of location based entertainment.

 

As a licensed architect in California, Mark worked with disciples of Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier, among a variety of experiences which formed a deep felt responsibility to quality, cohesive design. Working with a wide variety of some of the finest architects around the world on large scale projects has allowed him to experience the phases of the design process from many different viewpoints.
